The Problem

AmericasMart is bigger than your week.

Three buildings. Twenty-three, eighteen, and fifteen floors. More showrooms than you can walk in a week. Buyers who try to see everything come home with random catalogs and orders they barely remember writing.

The ones who walk out of Atlanta with a real plan didn’t try to see everything. They curated their stops before they got there. An hour at Tango is one of those stops.

About

I’ve been a buyer longer than I’ve been a rep.

I’ve spent more than two decades on the floor, behind the buy desk, and on both sides of the manufacturer relationship. I owned two t-shirt lines before I represented anyone else’s. I know what it costs to travel to Atlanta, leave your store covered, and write the wrong order. I also know what a great rep looks like — because I had a few.

If it’s good for the store, it’s good for the manufacturer and good for me.

I’ll give you my honest opinion when you ask for it — what fits your customer, what I’d reconsider, where I’d shift the buy. Take what’s useful and hit the delete key on the rest. That’s not unusual for a buyer. It’s unusual for a rep.

The Showroom

Tango is the true boutique showroom at AmericasMart.

Building 2, Floor 10. Right off the main round elevators. You’ll smell the LINNEA candles before you see the showroom — that’s how you find us.

Hardwood floors that creak. A showroom designer who makes every line come alive. Lines selected to merchandise together in your store the way they merchandise together on our floor.

Coffee and snacks live in the heart of the showroom — you’re welcome whether you’re buying or not. A glass of wine if you’d like. The walk to the back gets you past every line; that’s half the point. Directions if you’re lost. Southern hospitality, the kind that feels like home.

When you book with me, you’re walking into a place designed to inspire how you set your own store.

The Appointment

What your Atlanta Market appointment looks like.

01

Before you arrive.

My homework: I know your store, your mix, when you last reordered. Your homework: send your reorder needs ahead of market, or bring them with you. We pre-write the reorder so our hour can go to what’s new — and how to fit it in. We edit the reorder at the end based on what you decide.

02

The minute you walk up.

Something happens. I’m not going to spoil it. Buyers who’ve worked with me for a few markets know what I mean — and if you read Weekly Tidbits, you know too. Whatever you were carrying about your morning, you set it down for a second.

03

The work.

We move through the showroom one line at a time. New product. Best-sellers to keep stocked. Categories you haven’t tried that I think will move for you. I write the order as we go, or type it up after you leave if you’re in a rush. Whatever speed you want — the tools keep up. You leave with a plan, not a pile of catalogs.

A Note on Scope

The Atlanta Market appointment is for Tango lines only.

My independent brands — Sweet Tree Jewelry and Caroline B Cook — aren’t in the Tango showroom and aren’t part of an Atlanta Market appointment. Those relationships happen outside of market on my own time, by deliberate boundary. Market hours belong to Tango.

If you’re interested in working with my independent brands, that’s a separate conversation — same email, different calendar.

A Story

She didn’t think books were for her store.

Her first Compendium order with me was $382. She’d never carried books. She wasn’t sure her customer would buy them. We talked about her store — what was missing, what her best customer wanted, where books would actually live on her floor.

$0K Year One Retail
$0K Year Two Retail

She now carries every line in our showroom and we talk every month. We zig and zag — heavy on what’s working, light on what isn’t. That’s not a market story. That’s a partnership story. Market is just where it starts.

“After you left, the girls in the back all said you were the best Rep we have.”

A Second Story

Decreased her inventory. Increased her profit.

A multi-location retailer’s previous buyer was ordering $10,000 of one line — for a single store. Too much for the floor. I was watching it, but no one asked me and it wasn’t my place to volunteer my opinion.

When that buyer left, the owner came to me. I told her what I’d been seeing. She asked me to step in.

I now do all the buying for those stores in my lines. Less inventory. Better mix. Higher sell-through. The buyer’s-eye habit pays the manufacturer too — a leaner store reorders faster than an overstocked one.

If it’s good for the store, it’s good for everyone.
After Market

What happens after your Atlanta Market appointment.

The bag at your door.

After every market I personally drive samples and gifts to the retailers who took an appointment with me. Not catalogs — actual product, hand-curated from manufacturers who participated. Last January it was 50 stores across Tennessee and Kentucky.

Monthly cadence.

I don’t disappear between markets. We talk about reorders, problems, what your customers are saying. I see 15 lines move every week — I tell you what’s working in stores like yours.

Your stockist page.

For active partners, I build a stockist page tuned for SEO — your store, your address, the lines you carry from my showroom. When local shoppers search for the brands, they find your store.

For You

Is this you?

  • You sell at retail — independent boutique, gift store, gallery, museum store, multi-location
  • You write a lot of orders on your own and you’d welcome a second set of experienced eyes
  • You appreciate working with someone who knows your store
  • You’re open to a line or category you haven’t carried — and you want a real conversation about why it would (or wouldn’t) work for your store
  • You believe market is an investment, and you want it to feel that way
Between the Big Markets

Catch me at the smaller markets, too.

January is the big one, but it isn’t the only one. I’ll likely be at several of the smaller Atlanta markets through the rest of 2026 — especially the September mini-market (September 15–18, 2026). Those runs are shorter, and I’m not always on the floor for the whole thing.

Reach out to me if you want an appointment. If you’d like one for the September market, please book it now to guarantee I’ll be able to meet you. Email me or call 865-217-6790.

Your Move

Book your Atlanta Market appointment.

Tell me your store name, where you’re located, your top three customer types, and the lines you currently carry. I’ll find you a slot at the next Atlanta Market appointment.

Already a customer?

If you’ve never been to Tango — come for the experience. The merchandising. The inspiration. The fellowship. The answers. The products. The best lines. The coffee’s just a perk. 😉
