The EvaBelle Story
EvaBelle began, in Vanee’s own words, on “a cold March morning in 2013.” She suffered a massive heart attack when her main left artery dissected. Emergency open-heart surgery was immediately required. No warnings, no history.

The brand was born in that recovery. She made a conscious decision to keep slowing down, to be still, and to use what had encouraged her most, words, to encourage others. She had always yearned to design something simple and timeless: pieces that might bring a smile or hope or joy to a heart at the very moment it was needed most. So during her unexpected journey, eva belle was born, named after her grandmother.

That is the why of the product. Paper is torn, not cut. The frame is acrylic, clear, so it doesn’t compete with the word. Gold leaf glints at the corners, then recedes. Every piece is shelf-standing, windowsill, bathroom counter, bedside table, a desk at work. Every piece is made by hand, one at a time.
The line is rooted in Memphis, Vanee’s hometown and the place where the business started. Today she assembles every piece by hand and ships from Florida. There is no mass production. There is no co-packer. There is one woman who survived a 2013 heart event making hand-torn paper art, one piece at a time, and packing it for your store’s customers.

EvaBelle comes in seven sizes, each a hand-torn paper design floated inside a clear acrylic frame with gold leaf corners. The 2×2 cross is the signature 6-pack. Everything else is sold individually.

2×6, tall and narrow. Windowsill piece, bedside piece.
3×3 with heart, the bereavement anchor of the line. “He Holds Every Tear” gives retailers a clear sympathy and encouragement gift when a customer walks in buying for a friend who just lost a parent, a spouse, a child.
4×4 · 4×6 · 5×5 · 6×8, progressively larger shelf-standing pieces. Bathroom counter, guest-room dresser, kitchen shelf, office bookcase. Each size is its own silhouette on the shelf.
Every piece is shelf-standing, it leans, it doesn’t hang. That is on purpose. EvaBelle is designed to sit in the customer’s life where she already is: on the counter while she brushes her teeth, on the windowsill where she drinks her coffee, on the desk she’s staring at while the kids are in school. The negative space around every design is why, Vanee wants the eye to rest so the heart can hear.
The message set spans faith, bereavement, friendship, motherhood, marriage, and everyday encouragement. New designs are added slowly, this is a one-woman shop, and every piece goes through Vanee’s hands. When a 6-pack sits in your store it represents real hours of her time.
How EvaBelle is made
EvaBelle’s own framing, on the evabelle.net home page: “Every design is created with purpose and prayer. Each step of each piece is made with quality and care … all by hand and from the heart.” Here is what that means in practice.
Paper is torn, not cut. The rough deckle edge is the design signature. It is also slow. Tearing paper by hand to the same dimensions, piece after piece, is not a production efficiency, it is a choice. A die-cut would be faster. It would also be the wrong product. The torn edge is what tells the customer’s hand that this came from a person.
The frame is acrylic. Clear, not colored. No mat. No matting. The reason is the design philosophy Vanee stated in her own words: “Intentionally designed with negative space to rest your eyes and let your heart ‘hear’ the positive words.” The acrylic doesn’t compete. Nothing on the piece is decorative except the word. Gold leaf glints at the corners, then recedes.
There is no certification language here, no NCA, no IFRA, no Prop 65. EvaBelle is a faith-based gift, handmade by one woman in small batches. The brand’s values are expressed in Vanee’s own language: purpose and prayer, quality and care, from the heart. Her signature line under every piece of communication is a verse, “Words are powerful, especially His.” ~Vanee, Psalm 108:1. That is the commitment.
The merchandising rule. EvaBelle must be grouped as a display, never scattered throughout the store. Customers need to see the full statement and choose from within it. A single EvaBelle piece surrounded by unrelated gifts can disappear. The full line grouped together, small to large, crosses and hearts and everyday-encouragement pieces in one silhouette, is how the category moves.
