Do You Do This 1 Easy, Smart and Helpful Thing for Your Team?

I was rushing to the grocery store before Thanksgiving, and I forgot a key ingredient for lasagna. I had to return to Publix Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. after prepping since 5:00 a.m. A simple list could have saved me the trip.
Checklists became standard practice in aviation in the 1930s and saved countless lives. Surprisingly, it took hospitals decades longer. We think we’ll remember. We think we’ve got it handled. Our brains aren’t designed to remember everything. Can you relate? Obviously, I can. The busier we get – the more we need to help ourselves out – and help our teams, too.
I know you are swamped right now. This is exactly the time of year when lists can really help. This week pick one thing you do regularly – opening procedures, inventory checks, end-of-day tasks – and write down every step. Better yet – voice memo it to yourself. You might be surprised what you’ve been leaving to chance. Those “little things” can help in big ways. Be a step ahead during your busiest time of year – and check it off your list. ✅

NotebookLM Tip
In the interest of saving you time this week, here’s a tip for learning anything: Use NotebookLM.
NotebookLM is a Google tool that allows you to upload content in several different formats – a file, a website URL, a YouTube video (URL), anything in your Google Drive – and more. It will summarize the information for you. Then you can choose one of several ways to have it help you learn. My fave is the audio overview (podcast format). You can even interrupt the AI podcast hosts at anytime with questions.
Note: look at the top right. See the word “Gemini?” You can click that and chat with Gemini (AI). It can do all sorts of things for you. Just ask it. Verbally. (after enabling your microphone)
Note this, too: I use dark mode – you can, too. It is easier on the eyes! Click the 3 dots at the top right (if you are using Chrome). Go to Settings then Appearance – then Mode.
